"I loved the experimental and percussive nature of the original and the vocals, it stood out for me as a track I could remix in my own style without losing the vibe of the original.

I was also attracted by the sentiment and power of the tune.

I wanted to keep the main vocal and minimise the backing vocals

I used several of Caro’s percussive sounds, + 6 or 7 of mine for the tribal rhythms.

I kept it fairly minimal and loopy so it was different to the original which is very intricate and experimental.

It was important to me that it was an improvised remix, as that is how I record my own music, so I jammed along on my modular synth to the multi-tracks Caro sent me of the original."
