"I wanted to bring out the elements in the piece. It immediately felt like a journey to me. I didn't intend for it to be as long as it was but I didn't cut it down because as it grew in length, as it felt right.
I loved the lyrics, the experimentation of the vocal. The growls. Before I'd touched it, it felt so animal-like. I loved that. The reference to the elements really struck a chord with me. I loved the tribalistic nature of it and I felt the need to bring that out. One thing was important to me, to retain the feel of the original song. My mix is quite similar to the original arrangement but a few extra bits of course - I wanted to keep most of that as I felt the original had a magic about it and I didn't want to lose that when putting my stamp on it."
