Caro knows Mark Hand from her early days of electronic music enjoyment and education, in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North East of England. Caro always loved Mark's warm, classic sensibilities and was well chuffed he was up for doing this soulful deep house remix.

In Mark's words:
"When I approach the idea of doing a remix I usually try to recreate something completely new from the audio food I'm given to work with.
I like to try and create something new, something with my own take on the deeper side of house music. For this rework I mainly used Caro's vocal of which I chopped into micro samples to create a rhythmic groove, I also ran some of the vocals through a vocoder.
I sampled some of Caro's found sounds and field recordings to create hi-hat/shaker type rhythms etc also sampling Caro's lithophone sounds to create a more musical percussive riff.
The bass line was played on a Moog Voyager, the "rhodes' chords my Korg SV1 Stage Piano and pads created using my Sequential Prophet 6.
Influences such as Larry Heard and Matthew Herbert spring to mind...
I guess my response to Caro's original track and my musical message always tries to be one of positive energy, to evoke positive emotions and activities like dancing, forward motion with view to brighter times - "we are magnificence"!
